Joohan Lee

Joohan LEE has studied glaciers using Ground Penetrating Radar and Seismic method in the Antarctic for over 15 years. He has had experiences in marine surveys including multichannel seismic, multibeam echosounding and ROV. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers. He is also interested in polar technologies for the researches and safety. He has developed automatic data acquisition system and emergency control center in Korea Polar Research Institute(KOPRI) for monitoring researchers in the field. He is developing unmanned ground vehicle to search hidden crevasses in the glaciers. He had been joined in constructing Korea’s brand-new Antarctic research station by the name of Jang Bogo Station. He is now a leader of technical support and polar safety team of the KOPRI.
