Dr Sheeba Nettukandy Chenoli, is attached to the National Antarctica Research Center (NARC), University of Malaya, for the last 5 years. She is also an associate in Institute of Ocean and Earth studies (IOES) in the university of Malaya. Her PhD is on Antarctic meteorology and she is interested extreme wind events on the coastal regions of Antarctica and tropical equatorial teleconnection. Her research also includes variability of subtropical jet as wells as Antarctic precipitation variability. She has undertaken field seasons in Antarctica to install automated weather station (AWS) and SODAR over the Ross Ice Shelf and Jang Bogo, Terra Nova Bay respectively.
