Xiao CHENG serve as the chair of the College of Global Change and Earth System Science, Beijing Normal University, and is the Director of Polar Research Institute, Beijing Normal University. Polar Research Institute is an inter-disciplinary research platform in BNU, which involve four research fields including polar remote sensing and climate change, polar astronomy, polar biology and environment, polar psychology. Dr. Xiao Cheng’s research interests include polar remote sensing and climate change. He has taken part in five investigations to polar regions, 3 for Antarctic and 2 for Arctic. He is leading China’s polar remote sensing research program. He has published over 30 SCI-indexed articles, including 1 in PNAS.
